Fume extraction systems
For service and production

Weller has joined forces with Swedish manufacturer of fume extraction systems. Together they formed new WellerFT brand, with products aimed not only for electronic market but much larger. The goal is to protect health of all employees that could suffer from occupational diseases. The air pollution is a serious risk while performing soldering jobs, glueing, welding, laser cutting or engaving. Gases emmited in such applications are harmful to the people and harmful to the environment. Therefore it is necessary to equip workplaces with suitable extraction systems with quality filters.
Leadfree technology, paradoxically, causes more danger in electronic industry. New solder alloys demand new fluxes, much more aggressive. While soldering, they generate gases with smaller and more dangerous particles. Weller adressed this threat with effective extraction systems and quality filters. They do not only move the polluted air away from the workbench. Thet actually filter out harmful substances and gases. The filters allow to catch particles down to 0,5 µm in size!.

Thera are two fume exhaust systems from Weller. One of them utilizes exhaust pipes integrated ito the soldering irons. It collects the fumed directly from the tip. It is a very efficient system, but it demands special irons with fitted exhaust tubes or special adapters for your existing soldering irons.

FT 12

Portable fume extraction unit. It can work with 2 FE (fume extraction) irons. It demands compressed air supply 3,5-6 bar, 30 l/min. Noice level 39dB.

WFE P

Portable fume extraction unit with built-in pump. It can work with 2 FE (fume extraction) irons. Noice level 40dB.

ZeroSmog 20T

Large extraction unit for 20 FE irons. Duży filtr odciągowy do podłączenia 20 lutownic. Connection pipe system allows installations up to 200m long. Noice level 51dB.

Exhaust systems with volume extraction utilize extraction arms fixet to the workbenches. There are extraction nozzles of various shapes and sizes available. They can be positioned directly above or to the side or the fume source. Volume extraction units suck in large amounts of air around the nozzle, therefore perform well in all applications, not only soldering.

Zero Smog 6V

Fume extraction unit for up to 6 workplaces. Largest unit from WellerFT. Built-in pump is very efficient and quiet (capacity up to 615 m3/h, noice level 51 dB). Control system allows for automatic speed control - pump speed is automatically adapted to the number of extraction arms in use (extraction arms have built-in on/off valves).

Prefilter BOX

Additional filter box expands filter volume and size. It should be used in conjuction with Zero Smog 6V for demanding applications - extracting fumes from solder baths, soldering robots and alike.

Zero Smog 4V

Fume extraction unit for up to 4 workplaces. It is a little bit smaller than Zero Smog 6V - capacity up to 230 m3/h. Noice level 48 dB. Control system allows for automatic speed control - pump speed is automatically adapted to the number of extraction arms in use (extraction arms have built-in on/off valves).

ZeroSmog 4V Kit1
ZeroSmog 4V Kit2

Zero smog 4V can be purchased in kits - with extraction arms included in scope of delivery. Kit 1 is a ready to install solution for 1 workplace, Ki2 for 2. There are ø50mm -3m connection hoses, extraction arms and fixing brackets in the kit.

MG 100S

Portable fume extraction unit for 2 workplaces. It is designed to filter gases - the gas filter has a large capacity, particle filter is a little smaller.

Zero Smog TL

Fume extraction unit for 2 workplaces. Pump speed can be regulated. Plastic housing. Capacity up to 190m3/h, noice level 50dB. Available in kits with 1 or 2 extraction arms.

Zero Smog EL

Fume extraction unit - cost effective solution for 2 workplaces. Pump speed can be regulated. Plastic housing. Capacity up to 150m3/h, noice level 53dB. Available in kits with 1 or 2 extraction arms.

MG 130

Fume extraction unit - portable, cost effective solution for 2 workplaces. Three-step speed regulation, filter-full alarm. Small housing.

MG 140

Fume extraction unit with large gas filter, for 2 workplaces. Comes with peed regulation, filter-full alarm. Can be used in cleanrooms.

Existing soldering irons and Weller soldering stations can be connected to the extraction system. If you plan to purchase new soldering stations, you should purchase power units and appropriate FE irons separately. Please contact us, we shall help you to choose equipment appropriate to your needs. Below you can find some FE irons. These can be connected to FT 12, WFE P, Zero Smog 20T (and some older models) extraction units.

FE 50

Soldering iron 50W. Substitutes LR 21. For power units 50W or more (e.g. WD 1, WS 51, WSD 51).

FE 50M

Soldering iron 50W, Magnastat sutem. Substitutes TCP S. For Magnastat power units WTCP 51 or older WTCP S.

FE 75

Soldering iron 80W. Substitutes WP 80, WSP 80. For power units 80W or more (e.g. WD 1, WS 81, WSD 81).

FE 80

Soldering iron 80W. Substitutes LR 82. For power units 80W or more (e.g. WD 1, WS 81, WSD 81).

There are special stop-and-go tool stands for FT 12, WFE P and WFE extraction units. The stand switches the filer off as soon as the iron is replaced. It prolongs filter lifetime.

KHP

Stop-and-go tool stand for FE 25, FE 50, FE 50M, FE 75, FE 80 irons. Destined for FT 12 and WFE units.

KHE

Stop-and-go tool stand for FE 25, FE 50, FE 50M, FE 75, FE 80 irons. Destined for WFE P unit.

KHE/P

Additional stand for KHP or KHE - for second soldering iron. The extraction unit is switched off, if both irons are replaced.

Other tool stands available - please contact us for details.
